His legacy continues through the organization he founded, Better Community Development, Inc., which has transformed countless lives.
Anthony Duss, a counselor in training, shared his journey of overcoming addiction with the help of Dr. Robinson’s program.
“For 30 plus years, I struggled with alcohol and drugs. This last time, I knew that I needed to really change myself,” Duss said. He credited the program with helping him find real change.
Patricia Williams, Corporate Compliance Director, said Dr. Robinson’s work had a far-reaching impact. “I have attended conferences where other churches have come here to learn and to get ideas about how they could be more impactful,” she said.
She also says the organization has long-lasting contributions to the community, including providing low-income housing and neighborhood improvements.
Duss, inspired by Dr. Robinson, now works to help others. “One of the sharpest men that I ever, had ever met. He led by example,” he said.
Better Community Development, Inc. continues to honor Dr. Robinson’s legacy, offering programs like the Hoover Treatment Center to support those struggling with addiction.
“This is definitely a place where you can heal,” Duss said, emphasizing the organization’s faith-based approach and commitment to providing necessary tools for recovery.
