July 16, 2022 (Little Rock, AR) – We are so excited to announce that Better Community Development, Inc. (BCD) has been selected as one of five organizations receiving a total of $2.5 million in federal grants from the Arkansas Department of Human Services and Office of the Arkansas Drug Director.
BCD is the only grant recipient in the Central Arkansas Area. Along with four additional organizations, the faith-based substance abuse treatment center will receive the grant money beginning in July 2022. ADHS has committed to three years of funding which help the facility further its mission to support disadvantaged persons in the Little Rock and surrounding areas.
Pastor Deborah Bell, Director of Better Community Development, says the center provides outpatient and residential services in addition to offering 30 single-unit apartments for the community it serves.
The organizations chosen to receive funding are Daughters of the Other Side, Arkansas Recovery Ministries (ARM 180), SOZO Recovery Center, and Safe Haven Ministries.
